Garlic Clove Roasted (Print version)

Sweet caramelized garlic cloves roasted to perfection, ideal as a spread or condiment.

# What you'll need:

→ Vegetables

01 - 3 whole heads garlic (approximately 36 cloves)

→ Oils & Seasonings

02 - 3 tablespoons olive oil
03 - 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
04 - 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
05 - 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme or rosemary (optional)

# How to make it:

01 - Set the oven temperature to 400°F.
02 - Remove most of the papery outer skin from the garlic heads, keeping cloves intact. Slice off the top half inch of each head to expose cloves.
03 - Place each garlic head on a piece of aluminum foil. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle evenly with sea salt, black pepper, and optional herbs.
04 - Wrap each garlic head tightly in aluminum foil and place on a baking sheet.
05 - Bake in the oven for 35 to 40 minutes until cloves are soft, golden, and caramelized.
06 - Allow to cool slightly, then gently squeeze the roasted garlic from cloves. Serve warm or at room temperature.
